ASAC show on THURSDAY 5/5!!!


The Albany Sonic Arts Collective presents a very special appearance by the Arthur Brooks Ensemble V. Trumpeter-composer Brooks is one of the unsung heroes of the new music, and has worked with Bill Dixon, William Parker, Sonny Sharrock, Alan Silva, Cecil Taylor, and Frank Wright, among others. For this performance, he will be joined by bassist Anthony Santor and percussionist Matt Weston.

Excellent event. The part of Arthur Brooks Ensemble V's performance that I heard was amazing, so I wish I had shown up earlier & heard more of it. For some reason I assumed that he would be playing last, but then again, I wouldn't have wanted to miss Id M Theft Able or Fleshtone Aura either. Loved all the different sounds that Fleshtone was mixing into the brew.
